My solitaire power button does not work and the blue LCD screen is blank all the time now. The only way to turn the machine on is to unplug the powerplug and plug it in again.
Some more complex renders like Blurry spots and longer color corrections get about 1/4 the way through rendering and the machine just shuts off/crashes. I just changed OS 6 to 7.
is smart edit 8 a free upgrade? I paid for 7 and haved used os 6 because it seemed to have less glitches.

You have obvious issues, but they do not sound like OS related issues, especially as you mentioned you changed OS versions and still have the same problems.

I would contact tech support.

SE 8 is not a free upgrade.

MSUS includes free upgrades for bug issues, not for software the with added features.
