Problem with Bogart 4.5c

Hi Group:
I have an S6000 unit with 4.5c OS.
I've been having trouble with it crashing. When I try to go into Audio Mix to adjust or add audio it crashes. Not even on a particular scene. Just clicking on Audio Mix gives me the dreaded "X" and crashes.
I spoke to Gary today and he told me to re-install the software as a clean install. We did it together. Got up and going again and tried to add an audio clip to a scene. It crapped out, once again, when I clicked on Audio Mix.
Anybody have any ideas???

Hi Franklin:
Thanks for your reply. I don't feel any better now.
I think I should have mentioned that the project that it is crashing on is an HD project.
This is my very first try in working in HD. It is of our recent vacation from Australia and New Zealand.
I went this morning to some other projects that are on my machine that have been shot in SD and are not having the problem.
It seems to me that the machine can't process HD in the same manner it handles SD. I could be crazy.

Jeff, try this. Copy your entire project via the project window and add the project to an empty project area set to the same project and HD settings. Let us know if this works. It should.
Do you already have audio in the audio record window? If so, Delete and add to the new project area. Thanks for the blessing Franklin.
Many good things coming down the "Pike" ( road) including fixes.

Hi Lou:
Well, I got it moved, as per your instructions. I was at the beginning of the story board and then hit the Audio Mix icon. It brought me to the screen. I went to the last scene in the board to make an audio adjustment and got the dreaded "X". But, this is the nearest I've been in 3 three days.
Thanks for trying.

Darn. Short of corrupt files, I hope it is not your internal HDD.
Can you try and re- import?

Hi Lou:
I tried it a few times. Nothing seemed to work.
I got in touch with Gary from the new Macrosystem. I gave him all the info on my camera settings, which he suggested might be the culprit, and my settings on the S-6000.
I figured out a work around by taking the scenes I needed to work on and by using my clipboard, moving only one scene at a time, going into an empty project and doing what I needed to do then bringing it back in its place in the storyboard.
So far it has been working one on one. In the scenes that I had previously put on the storyboard and my moving them to the empty project window nothing seems to have been corrupt.
Just about finished on this project.
Oh, by the way, this is my very first experience with Blu-ray. How much can I put on one Blu-ray disk? Does the Blu-ray disk have more capacity then the standard DVD?
Thanks for your assistance.
Best.

I am interested in your camera setting? LPCM? 12 or 16 bit. Two or four channel?
Anyway, I knew the empty project idea would work to some extent. Glad it worked for you.
Blu-ray has a 25Gb capacity or even 50. Regular DVD-R has 4.7 Gb. Hopefully you have Render Booster which will accelerate the process of rendering.
As a side note, it is good to see Gary offering his expertise and wisdom. Good customer service.

Hi Lou:
I can't give up in trying to resolve this issue.
I was playing around with the storyboard and found this out.
If I start at the beginning of the storyboard in the Audio Mix screen and click one by one it doesn't crash. I then started to click ahead 5 at a time, still no crash. I then clicked the end of storyboard icon and then it crashed. I then removed the last scene and did the test over again. No crash until I hit the end of storyboard icon. If I was a betting man I would believe that the system can't handle the skip to the end movement.
Any opinion?
Gary reviewed my camera settings and the settings on the S-6000 and he is of the opinion that there is no conflict between the two.
