S-4000 Pro. Finish menu.

I have now for some days been editing with my new S-4000 Pro (PAL), with Bogart SE 1.2c. An impressive mashine!!
I have also made a 6min test HDV-project. But, here I have a question regarding the Finish menu. In the text field "Record to VCR", and where the button with the 3 small horizontally lines are located, I now find the text "HDV". When clicking on the play-button to the right, I get a super-sharp HDV-tape from my recorder.
Theeafter I tried to make a DV-copy to tape. But, clicking on the button, HDV, I couldn't find the expected text-row containing DV. The button only turned into another blue color, and the text "HDV" was still there. So, what is wrong?
Another question. On the rear side of the mashine a "HQ" in/out audio connection is located. When using them, I am not able to hear any difference in the sound quality compared to the other RCA in/out plugs, output on the Philips loadspeakers. Maybe I should wash my ears
