Does Smart Edit burn CDs with reversed stereo channels?

Sometimes I will use my Kron Plus with SE7 to create CDs from vinyl albums.
I'll use Split in the Audio Record section to create separate tracks.
I just used a stand alone CD burner to make a cd of an album - I recorded complete sides and was going to use my Kron to create separate tracks. I put the CD in the Kron and ripped the CD. The first track on the album features a piano that starts only on the right channel. The stand alone CD burner created a CD with the piano on the right channel. When I played it back in the Cassie the piano was still on the right channel. I burned a CD in the Kron Plus and on that CD the piano was on the left channel! Has anyone else noticed audio channels being swapped when burning audio CDs in the Cassie? I haven't checked DVD audio for this anomaly yet.

My Kron+ with SE 6 burns dvds with the correct audio orientation. However, I have never burned a cd.

Yes Craig, the channels are switched when burning a CD, with SE7. Hans first brought this up in April, SE 7 Audio CD Created/problems.

Thank you Ian - it's good to know it wasn't me! Do you know or have you heard if Smart Edit 8 fixes this problem? Macrosystem US says we should be getting it very soon over here.

Hi Craig,
Yes, channels are reversed on burned audio disk in SE7.
I reported this to MS/Germany and they promised a fix in update.
Maybe SE8 will have this fix.
In the meantime you have to do a workaround before burning tracks.
In audio record menu go to "Special" and "Swap Channels".
Create every track and add only these to burning list.
Burn disk and the tracks are in original order as original.
Don't forget to delete the swapped tracks because of misuse in storyboard.

Craig
SE V8 has just been released here, although I as yet have not bought it, maybe in a week or two.
This version looks great, as can be seen
http://www.macrosystem.de/e/expansions_smartedit8.html. There are references to audio improvements, like the long awaited smooth fade issue and also the finish program, but no reference to the CD swapped channel problem.
We will need to wait and see.
It is not a major issue, but all the same irritating.
Hope all is well with you Craig.

I installed Bogart SE 2.0 to day, and the problem with swapped sound-channels seems to be fixed.

Hi Mykle,
S-4000Pro with BogartSE never had the problem of swapped channels when burning an audio CD.
This was a problem with Smart Edit 6 & 7.
Maybe someone can report if the problem is fixed with just released SmartEdit 8 (PAL)?

I created a short audio left & right channel test.
The test contains distinct L & R channel info for easy and accurate testing.
Tim Kennelly was so kind to provide this test on his homepage for download.
For direct access to the download data please enter the link to Mozilla Firefox Browser.

Import to Movie Maker, Create, via Firewire Play to your Cassie for record in DV
or to DV tape to your cam.
Hope this is a help for checking correct L &R audio channel order in your system.

Thank you to everyone who has replied to my question. I was hoping for an early answer since no mention of a fix was made in the pre-release notes. I received an e-mail from Club Casablanca (here in the US) on Oct. 23rd saying that the new OS should be getting shipped to Club members the last week in October so we should be receiving it the first week in November. Until then I'll keep my fingers crossed
