Re: HD to ARABESK project
First of all: please be sure that the current Arabesk version 6.3e is used. If you are in a PAL region, also install Bogart 5.7 (on the Bogart 6.1 DVD).
If Arabesk can render a Blu-ray from your project, also a DVD should work. To get rid of older, damaged project data, ust the "Reset to factory defaults" in the Arabesk settings.
Project errors can often be solved by making a scene from the whole project. Transfer this scene to an empty project with the clipboard. Split chapter starts manually and insert the new scenes into the storyboard. Add the image processing effect "NOP" to all scenes and render the storyboard. Either a NOP will not render, then there is a problem within this scene - or Arabesk should render correctly afterwards.
Please try this and reply if it solved the problem.

Re: HD to ARABESK project
Mhuebmer, thanks for your tips,I am in NTSC land,we still in BOGART 5.5C and ARABESK 6.0A ,yes I did a complete uninstall from ARABESK before and the factory
reset too, before a hit CREATE so my project is in a MINIdv tape (wooo old way to backup),to archive, what I do is to dow convert from tape (1440 progressive)
to the S-6000 in SD QUALITY,and this REALLY WORKS since is SD at that moment(westing more time),but when I try from HD (1080 progressive) it wont work because
during the encoding process It will stop in the 80% or sometimes at 20% the exactly project, remember if the project was fine during the CREATE HD process in the
FINISH window.this mean that everything is OK ,no corrupt frames or audio over modulate.Yes sometimes I use the NOP,end there is no problem with the complete
project,everything render perfect.
So what other factor could cause this BUG ?
Thanks Franklin

Re: HD to ARABESK project
Even if there is no newer Bogart version for NTSC, you should update Arabesk to 6.3e. This is the third free update since your 6.0a with many bug fixes. Get it here for the USB installation: http://www.macrosystem.de/fileadmin/dow ... _V6.3e.zip.
BTW: I would not advise filming in progressive mode. Arabesk will convert to the DVD or BD standard, which is always interlaced. This additional conversion needs more ressources and could raise the risk of running into problems.

Re: HD to ARABESK project
Ok I will update to ARABESK 6.3e,perfect.
But you recommend not to use PROGRESSIVE MODE sorry but what I do is weddings(DSLR cameras) and my market NO BODY likes INTERLACE,so you mean that
CASABLANCA is not a friendly system to progressive ? I been filming progressive since my first DSLR and never had a problem with BR or DVD with my clients
this mean that we are FAR WAY from 4k since progressive is not a good option .
Woooo I THINK I miss something ....Thanks !!

Re: HD to ARABESK project
You missed the point...CASABLANCA is not a friendly system to progressive?
Nether a DVD, nor a Blu-ray is progressiv friendly! A DVD only if you reduce the resolution by 50% to make a VCD instead of a real DVD-Video. And a Blu-ray only if you record and produce for cinema with 24p - which is currently not yet supported from Bogart.
Here you find out the technical limit of
DVD
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-Video#Video_data
and Blu-ray
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc#Video
Use a corresponding (existing) project setting to reduce problems.

Re: HD to ARABESK project
Heyyyyyy now we are in PROBLEM,when I buy my BOGART 5.5C from MACROSYSTEM US, the best news I was that this UPDATE will accept 24P footage, and now after
dealing with a lot OF PROBLEMS,with BOGART you tell me that MY S-6000 wont work with 24p ? you most be joking a $US 2,800 PROFESSIONAL EDITOR in the year 2014 even 30p is a no friendly for CASABLANCA SYSTEM ?
USB mode for installation of ARABESK 6.A3 dont work in NTSC LAND
BTW I been making maybe 30 BLUE RAY to different brides, and only 3 tell me that they had a few problems, the QUALITY WAS EXCELLENT even in DVD progressive
footage (SD) it looks very good,so you prefer INTERLACE for better function even in the NEW KARAT
Now I am MISING more and more..
Thanks Franklin
ps-Interlace is in the PAST just like 4x3 aspect..

Re: HD to ARABESK project
Bogart 5.5c is able to import 24p and convert it into the selected project format setting. In PAL 25p is very close, in NTSC 30p is the nearest format setting.
But I have no intention to discuss die DVD or BD standards. Also I can not say how the development will continue in the NTSC area. I am just using PAL. Maybe the US development/testers have other informations.
Also I just read, that the Wikipedia pages have different informations about the "standards". So I just give you the hint to read here and find your own solution for your future recordings.

Re: HD to ARABESK project
ok now I'm better informed with your links , to cover my self in better SLOW MOTION,I decided my last 10 weddings recorded in 30p since
24p in slow motion (in MOTION PERFECT) don't look good, comparing 30p.
Mhuemer thanks for all your VALUE INFORMATION,and is a pleasure to have your comments in this forum that will help not only
me,but many more casablanca users
See you when BOGART 6 arrive tu America !!

Re: HD to ARABESK project
It makes no difference if you render it first as Arabesk renders the whole lot (again) anyway.I always GO TO THE CREATE my project,so Arabesk wont have to deal with that during ENCODING
Just rendered a section and it took 25 minutes - it then took Arabesk 42 minutes to get to the burn stage (this is HD to standard DVD).
Changed the project so that it would need re-rendering and added directly to Arabesk and it did the whole lot in 44 minutes.
