Recording through RCA inputs crashes the machine

I've been trying to record audio through the RCA inputs on my S-4000 pro. It crashes everytime. What gives? I've been able to do this since I first started using Cassie Machines a decade ago. Anyone have any idea why this would happen? I've tried both the rear and front inputs and it keeps happening.

So now I'm importing via RCA into the Solataire. It's working great. Going to make a CD and then try to upload that way onto the S-4000. Should work but why all the hassle? The Solataire is twice as old as the S-4000 Pro

Until someone comes up with a better answer, possibly you could supply a video feed into the composite or y/c input and then make a scene/sample as a work around after recording your audio. Not the ideal solution but less complicated than introducing your Solitaire into the equation.

I'll try that next time. Thanks!
