False Colors

My new Karat came with a nicely bound Bogart Version 5 User Manual. On page 61 under the topic of "image Process effects", item number 9 explains the process "False Colors. Where is it??? I have searched all the image processing titles with no reference to false colors. This is great meter feature for evaluating the correct brightness of a scene. It is even better than using a waveform monitor. I purchased a monitor with "false colors" to check my on site camera settings to assure correct exposure. All of the other topics titles are easily found in the "effects" listings. Sooo, where is "False Colors"?????

Isn't that what Filter Pack does?

Thanks for the reply Beth. I don't think it's one of the filter effects. I did check them though to be sure and there was no "false color". False color uses 13 different colors to indicate the brightness of every part of the scene. Each color represent a different brightness level or IRE value. So rather than guessing at the indication of a waveform monitor, each brightness level is depicted on the actual image in a color that represents the brightness of that part of the image. Very easy to see which part is under or overexposed.

Nope. Not at all. Sony Vegas has it. Nothing related to the filter pack software.
