Failed to load

Will someone please tell me the implication of the error message, "Failed to load the project Files!" I have used a Prestige editor for a number of years and have been happy with it until I just recently got this error message. After setting up a video project and then turning off the machine, I get this message and my project has disappeared.

Hi babycodv2,

I'm not sure
But maybe it has to do your prestige won't save anymore correctly because
the saving battery is empty.
This cell will normally hold capacity for aprox. 5 years.

Why would they put a battery in the unit? I hope it is removable. I had a similar problem with some battery that was soldered to the PCB on the 4000. I ended up buying the 6000.

It appears that project information is in the system, because I get the message that memory is 94% full, whereas it was much lower at the beginning of the project (30%). However, there seems to be no communication between what is apparently on the hard drive and what can be accessed by the system.

After checking with Tech Support, it appears that my problem is a "loop" which will require reloading the O.S. In my case, this will amount to a system upgrade.
