I just spent several hours loading video in my Rennie and went to an empty project and tried to move a scene from the project I have spent so much time on and when I went to move scenes to the new project via clip board I got a unrecoverable message and it rebooted. I tried it agin and got the same result. I let it reboot and when it came back up I sut it down and left it of for several minutes and turned it back on. I tried to move the scene agin and I got the unrecoverable message agin. It rebooted agin and I tried to via clip board move a scene from another project and it worked. Can anyone explain what went on there!

All projects set to the same format/aspect ratio?

Try to move a different scene from the same project. If that works, try splitting the problematic scene and see if either part will transfer. If it does and either one causes a shutdown, reload that scene. OR use the "NOP" image processing effect on the problematic scene.

I went back to the original project and all I did yesterday was lost! I never got to the point of selecting a scene to move. I got the message when I had clicked on the original project and the hour glass came up and then the unrecoverable message. I hesitate to try it agin because I put most of what I lost back in last night! Could that whole project be corrupt? I can access other projects but not that original. I went to the new project and I loaded the video I needed there from the Tape so I didn't have to clipboard it. That video burned and was uploaded on You tube last night! I have used this machine for years and never seen any thing like this!

It's possible that the OS software that keeps track of the data for project 3 is corrupted. You could try to run the OS software as an update only and see what happens. However, updates rarely cure much of anything. Try deleting the problem project data and record new data and see what happens. It might be just be a glitch in the current data residing in that project. If you can't access that project, a full destructive OS install may be in order.

I seem to be able to work around it just not use the Clip board on that project. When I get done with this job I wont use that project. I have another HD that has a project #1 that is corrupt and I haven't used it for a long time. As I remember I had much the same problem.

Definitely time for you to do a full, destructive install. I don't want to scare you, but one of these times you're going to come back into a project to find it BLANK. A destructive install will reset the machine, just be sure all your codes are on a thumb drive first.

OOPs, forgot that you can't put your codes to a Renommee! But the clean install should definitely help.
