- Casablanca Unit: S6000 (40 software pkgs. from AkabaHD to Twixter) 2 OLD firewire Casablanca Classics (fully-loaded). Hoping eventually for the perfect camera (sometime before I die of old age). Sony 96GB HDR-PJ790. Several lighting & audio recording systems. A very old, 2006 MacPro tower 4TB hard drive & 30GB memory. More LCD monitors, TVs, tripods and misc. equipment then I want to admit to.

Limits on Studio Pro Ultra
I have been using Cassies since the classic in the 90's when I worked in Hi-8, then Dvcam then... etc. but now in 1080p, you get the idea. I always bought my cameras, but now I am starting to lean towards rentals. What is the limit on what the new, Studio Pro Ultra system can handle, as far as formats ? Can it handle formats like XAVC 4 K? At 100 Mbps, 300 Mbps? Technology moves so fast. If one plans to maximize their dollars with camera and editing systems... what can we expect from this editing unit? If one uses, say a rented Sony PXW- FS7, in tandom with a Atmos Video Recorder... can one drop format files into the Studio Pro Ultra without any problems? Just crunching the numbers... curious on limitations.

Re: Limits on Studio Pro Ultra
I can't answer for that specific camera, but the video format choices in the Studio Pro Ultra go from SD 72x48P through HD 1280,1440.1920 to UHD 3840x2160 to UHD 4096x2160. Someone else will have to chime in on your particular camera. Have you tried the Cassie List?
