Monitor dimming when making menu titles in Arabesk

Well the title of this post says it all. This is for monitor one. Everytime I go into Arabesk, and go to create my titles for the Main Menu, the screen dims. Sometimes to the point where I can barely see the tool bar to edit the titles. I click out of Main Menu and the screen brightens back up to normal. Is this a monitor problem or something to do with the Karat or Arabesk 6? I am using dual monitor mode and Arabesk 6.3e. I could try switching out the monitors but wanted to see if any other users have had this problem first. In addition, the monitor that is having this problem also doesn't seem very bright to begin with. I've tried adjusting the settings in the menu with no success. This is 23" Samsung monitor hooked up via VGA. Thanks for any help or comments.

Probably the monitor has some sort of automatic picture adjustment turned on. Please check those settings in the monitor's menu (black enhancement,...). But this should also be seen when trimming "black" - or in the titler (with a dark background).

You can also try to reduce the "View size" of the Arabesk menu editor (Arabesk -> Main/Chapter menu / settings(wrench) -> View size = small) Does this change anything :?:

Can you try it as single screen HDMI ?

I think support for SCART (and therefore "maybe" VGA too) is becoming limited . . .

It seems to be fixed. I went into the strangely formatted menu options on the monitor and was able to reset everything and the problem for now, has gone away. Thanks everyone.
