burning AVI's

Having finally sold my S6K, I am wondering what the process is for removing my programs as AVI's? Its raw material for a project, and I want to get it out as uncompressed material. How's that done? Thanks.

Go into Arabesk assuming you have it and then go to "Disc Transfer". This will delete any projects in Arabesk but once you switch it to Disc Transfer mode you can output any scene, and multiple scenes to a disc in the .AVI format. I think DVDs only hold about 20 minutes. Bit rate should be about 30 Mbps. Not sure if you can use Blu Ray. Maybe a dual layer DVD. You cannot transfer a storyboard unless you make a scene out of it and put it in your scene bin.

Christopher,
Thanks so much! Do the scenes to be moved to disk need to be in the storyboard, or can they be in the scene bin?

My OS is Bogart 7.2, and have Arabesk 6. Disc Transfer is not listed as an option there. Ideas?

Okay, I found the Disc Transfer option, and it says it is only available with SD projects only! HOW do they make a machine capable of HD and NOT allow an HD project to export any way but SD? This is stupid! and a good reason to sell the unit.

I was Using my S-4000 Pro with Arabesk 5 and it looked like it was going to work but I canceled out of it. What about using export scene in the OPT section of the main edit screen? DO you have that option? I can't remember what OS starting having that feature. This works for scenes not the storyboard. But you can always make a scene from the storyboard.

Disk-Transfer was released on August 16th. 2004. There was no AVCHD camcorder at that time to save any material with. :? This software was built for archiving opening/closing credits and short things to DVD.

Since 2014, Bogart v5.6c, 6.0c and newer can export any material lossless with the "Project / Save AV-Data" function :!: This will allow the transfer to any other Bogart system - even new Casablanca-4 / Bogart Windows systems. ;)
Also older versions like 4.5c can export HDV 1440x1080 and 1920x1080 storyboards to USB. Both can be done with "Project / Backup storyboard" with Mode=HDV (MPEG-2) or MTS (MPEG-4/AVC), readable on any other system.

Not knowing the possibilities of the own unit is no software problem... :? With Bogart 7 you can also use "Edit / Action / mark Scene bin" + "Opt / Exporting scene" to export all scenes as AVI, MPEG-2(TS), M2TS or even JPEG-Sequences onto any external hard-drive (max 2000 GB, Master-Boot-Record partitioning, NTFS filesystem). So you can export hundreds of scenes :P - far better than to an optical drive with limited space (for just 18 minutes due to 4 GB discs).
