Hi Paul,
Looks like it sort of is already, well at least in PAL. Presumably an NTSC version is to follow shortly;

The original PIP Studio is not available in the Bogart SE OS due to the difference in the software, that is why the PIP Studio 2 software was released. This is fully functional in the Bogart SE OS, and in addition to the capabilities from PIP Studio (1), the newer PIP Studio 2 allows you to also pull your patterns (PIP shapes) from the Image Pool instead of just the PIP patterns in the dedicated software (yes, PIP Studio 2 does add additional patterns/masks to the Image Pool) _and_ PIP Studio 2 allows you to produce a double-PIP 'on top' of a full motion video clip. We used to have to do a multi-step work-around for this but now you have it as PIP Studio 2 launches from both the Transition menu as well as the Special button in the Edit menu!
You can read more about the software here
http://www.macrosystem.us/Software/PiP_Studio_2.html
Pricing for the product is as follows:
PIP Studio 2 $159.00
PIP Studio 2 Upgrade $ 99.00 (for those who own/ed the original PIP Studio )

Chet

So Chet,
Are you telling us it is avaliable in the NTSC format and also fo the S4000/Pr?
While I got your attention, I keep reading that some people are using the OS 2.0 for the Bogart. Are those that purchased the S-4000/Pro suppose to get the OS through the mail, go through the dealer, or do we have to call in and order it? Whatup witdat?

Yes sir - the PIP Studio 2 product is now available for the S-4000/PRO in NTSC (it is not available for Smart Edit)

Yes, the new Bogart SE OS Version 2 is available for NTSC customers. All S4000/PRO customers whose unit was registered was sent via email the activation code along with the ISO software link to immediately install and begin using the new OS, along with the new Media Manager software. I am sorry you apparently missed this announcement, you can read about it here:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=771.
If you have not already registered your S-4000/PRO unit, please do so using the info in the post referenced above. If you have registered and there was some error - please contact me off-list (email:
chet@macrosystem.us )
so I can see the issue is addressed.

Chet
