Re: Ethernet-Transfer or firewire
What operating version is your Solitaire have?
If it's SE4 or higher just connect a firewire cable between the two.
Do not connect or disconnect while both Solitaire and PC are powered up or you could fry your firewire board (very bad).
You need to use a PC program that can be set to NOT control the external device (Solitaire).
If you are on SE 3 or earlier you cannot connect direct and your best choice would be out to DV cam/'tape and then from there into the PC (or the same in the other direction).

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Re: Ethernet-Transfer or firewire
Paulo,
You can use the front or back depending on what type of cable you are using as the front uses the four pin style and the rear uses the six pin style.
Make sure to use the working jack on the back as there are two in the rear if I remember correctly and the one is nonfunctional.
As mentioned, on the PC side the software being used must be able to relinguish external device control as the Solitaire will not accept external control.
