I am using a Prestige for my film transfer. The video looks fine when played back in the storyboard or the scene bin. But the burned DVD looks bad. Colors are off, some video is hot. Just not good. Any suggestions???

Are you playing the DVD in the Prestige? Have you tried playing the DVD in other players and monitors?

If you played the analog DVD on a HDTV and it was not via HDMI, the analog DVD always looks terrible. No upconvert.

Lou. I played it on my bluray player via HDMI to my 42"plasma.

Ok I am going to lay out all the settings and everything I did and maybe someone can give me guidance.
On Prestige: Project settings NORMAL 4:3
- played back great in storyboard and scene bin
- I also firewired out to miniDV the scenes and imported them into my S2000
On S2000: Project settings SD 720x480i 4:3
- everything played back fine
- burned to DVD and get same results
I tried on my old analog TV with a normal DVD player and it looked great
I tried on my computer and it looked great
Samsung BluRay to Samsung 720 Plasma TV via HDMI it looks "off". Read a lot about this after Googling it but still can't figure out best course of action. I have been using SD 4:3 as advised by colleagues. Since the original 8 mm or super 8 mm film is in 4:3 they said to use 4:3.
HELP!!!

I find that when I have my HD TV display/picture settings set to "Dynamic" which seems to give the most bright colors and high contrast sometimes video looks off. "Dynamic" I believe is what it is out of the box. Have you messed with those settings on your TV? Try setting picture to Normal or standard. I realize this doesn't really solve your problem. You don't want your customers to have to make adjustments to their TV to make your disc look right. But it's a start. Maybe calibrating color bars on Cassie Machine to look good with same color bars on TV? Also what are your Arabesk settings?
