Sony MC5

I have been tx video to DVD, useing Sony MC5 recorder. Over the last couple of days it has come on the screen failed to finalize the disk.
What can be the cause of this, have had no trouble before.
Tapes are played out of Panasonic 1000, with TBC turned on, S-VHS cable. The MC 5 will only fail to finalize at random intervals.

Check your settings prior to recording...i.e. High quality, Standard quality, etc...and adjust. Your disc space might not be enough to import length of program content according to your selected recording preference choice. Just a shot.
