Eh.. seems like a replacement for the ag40. 1/4 inchers? not familiar with cmos, but i always thought the bigger the better. hey Lou... I see you have the canon g10 in your arsenal. how do you like it? and how does it gel with the casablanca / bogart? I'm looking to go tapeless, and small/lighweight (i'm 60 and my shoulder is shot) for weddings. i dont mind using a little additional light. i use the s4100, and its set up for HD with the blu-ray burner, i realize i'll have to upgrade from my original software. Thanks.. Pat

Love my G-10. For wedding and plays I recommend the A10 due to the XLR INPUTS.
Chip size is a little misunderstood. For instance a 1/3 chip can be more light sensitive than a 1/2.5 chip. WHY.?
The pixel in the newer 1/3 inch chip have fewer pixels. HUH ?
The 1/3 inch chip has BIGGER pixels thus allowing more light. Smaller chips and bigger chips CRAM very small pixels to increase resolution and this effects light gathering. Think of it as the iris of our eye. Our pupils will dilate to let more light to communicate with our visual process.
