Cross Fades
I have a Solitaire Plus with most of the software. How do I change the default on transitions to 2 sec instead of 1 sec. I use 2 seconds most of the time and it is a pain having to change it every time I leave the transition page. Thanks.

Billy
I am sorry to say you cannot, other than as I think you already know, if you put in a cross fade or any other transition and then go straight to the next cross fade, the duration will be as the last setting.

Re: Cross Fades
Here is how you do a memory "specify length" CROSSFADE transition:
TRANSITIONS>OPT>ADD AUTOMATICALLY>CROSSFADE>SET TIME>2 seconds>CHECK CROSSFADE>OK
NOTE: You will simply have to use your OPTION icon when you need to place your crossfade. You can still use your transition menu to adjust length as before but the OPTION window is independent of adding transitions manually or one by one.
Even when powered-down, the 2 second transition time is committed to memory.
It will now stay in memory for 2 seconds.
Hope this is what you needed to accomplish your goal.

Re: Cross Fades
Yes Lou, I had forgotten about the Opt button, but this still does not set the transition default setting.
The Opt button is great if you want to add a transition (cross fade) between every scene past the selected scene in the story board, but if scenes are being added and then another transition is to be added, the default will still be 1 second. Also if selected (rather than every), scenes require a transition, then opt is not the right tool.
Yes the opt button can again be used and it will still be set to, in this case 2 seconds, but that option, for individual additions, takes longer than the normal method.
The transition opt button is great for a stills montage, where a set time duration is required between every scene in the story board, or from the selected point in the story board.
The other good thing about the opt button, set to “random”, it will add different transition effects in a random manner.
However, this may satisfy Billy, as I’m not sure what exactly his requirements are.

Re: Cross Fades
Yes agree and both settings are mutually exclusive...I think it depends on his needs which wasn't quite clear. Thanks.
