Hey Franklin... actually I am presently also waiting to hear/see what the new OS upgrades bring to us and our Casablanca editors (both for Smart Edit and Bogart OS).
I am hoping we hear soon what the new benefits will be -- it is my understanding that the new Bogart OS update (2.4) we received yesterday already does a good job importing MOV files which I think is a good step. Curiosity will be met with the facts when they are revealed.

It will be interesting in the weeks and months ahead as the convergence between digital photography and digital videography become more intertwined... what some professional photographers are calling Fusion. There is even a new website with this topic fusionatomy.com !

Regards,
Chet

Both the 5D and the 7D: It's 264 in a .MOV wrapper so it will work.

JVC 100 and JVC GY HD 700 use MPEG-2 in a .MOV wrapper and they both work in 2.4C as does MP4 which is found in the 100 and as a firmware update in the 700. Prior to the firmware update, one had to spend almost 1K for the SXS box....no more.
