Some days ago I installed the new Bogart SE 3.0a (PAL). It worked great, until I suspected it to have some bugs (to make it short this time). I therefore decided to reinstall my earlier SE 2.4 to see if it would work like before I installed the SE 3.0a. The install seemed to be successful, and then I tried to boot up again.
During the booting all seemed to work well, until the last part, where I expected the Main menu to pop up. The monitor was still on, but there was nothing else on the TV-monitor. ( I use a single monitor with DVI/HDMI connection ). There was also no text in the S4k's display, but it was still lit.
And then I tried to open the drawer to do a new install. But, the drawer did'nt open.
I had a similar problem with my earlier S-4000 Pro, and it's drawer could be opened by holding down the ESC-button while booting up the machine. Not so with my S-41k!
I have now tried "everything", but it's still locked.
I also have to use the "Force Power down" combination (on/off + OK button) to shut down the machine.
Any idea of how to come out of this?

You can create an emergency USB Stick to eject the drawer. I have never done that but here are software and instructions:

Maybe anyone has done this and can share his experience ...

Re: Emergency open of the DVD drawer on S-4100
Thank you, Volker, for the tip, but I found it to be too difficult for me, so I kept on trying.
Then I, suddenly, remembered the trick when "everything went wrong" with an earlier PC. I depressed, at the same time, the buttons (ctrl+alt+del). After that I started to push the opening switch for the drawer. After "tapping" it about 15-20 times, the drawer, suddenly, came out. After putting the software into it, I had to carefully push the drawer back again.
