Storyboard backup to MAC
When I use the storyboard backup from my Casablanca, can I take that firewire drive over to my Mac and the files will be recognized wherein I can download the files and work with them on my Mac Pro on its internal drive?

Hi
In my point of view it is No the file formate is different but why don't you try a to make a minute
of footage and do what you want to do and see if it works before you try the whole thing.
That's what I would do if I was wondering if it works.

Paris...are you working in TV PAINT? Just convert your files to MP4 and use the Bogart side to import. Do a search for ANY VIDEO CONVERTER on Google. Place your file into this freeware......export to a flash drive>Bogart record side USB ICON or even Media Manager.

Lou this is a multiple step process. If Macro Systems just cam clean when they sold the Bogart and they told us that this system could import and export to any video format that was out there this could have been the answer to Paris there problem without going to so much length to convert it.
I think we all have been short changed.

Hi,
Yes you can and it works...you just have to look for the .DV files in the folders generated by the Cassie and copy them into your Mac.
It works ok for SD but also for HD, the format is different, just look for the .m2t files.
Raw DV files and M2T (MPEG2) are regular standard file formats.
I use that all the time for clients who need raw files to work with...
Cheers.

Yes it does work. I have used many files that I backed up to an external HD when I still owned a S4000 and have drag and dropped then into Adobe Premiere Pro. Works great.
