Is it possible to inport from a DVD player into a Prestige using a better quality than S-video. If it's not possible please let me know. Thanks

Hello Gary,

If you have a DVD player with DV you could up the quality some by using that to transfer but you are still wrestling with the quality compromise due to DVD compression...

It would be more advantageous to use either disk transfer (optional software on the Casablanca, which imports/exports uncompressed video as an AVI file). The other option to provide better quality is to even export via firewire to a camcorder/deck and back into your editor.
