A PAL problem?

Hi Michael,

The problem 'hit me in the face' as soon as I started to edit; as with interviews what I do to tidy them up is to cut to the end of a sentence and join it to another to make better sense. A rambling conversation can be turned into a punchy dialog, (Err not all ways). I hide the cut behind a scene change. Its a bit like 'making silk purses out of sows ears'.

And since I do a lot of this I immediately found it,
since I always make an audition of the trimmed scene
before adding to storyboard.

I've sort of got used to the problem, and it has not stopped me getting the cuts right; but I don't like it. Lets hope its sorted quickly. If you don't make mistakes you have never done anything. The 'proof of the pudding' is how quickly you sort it out.

Regarding this topic, does this problem exist only at PAL, or have you who live on the other side of the pound the same problem? I am not sure if you have got the new Bogart SE 3 yet, but could any of you check it out on Bogart SE 2?

Would it be any idea to explain this problem to MS in Germany, or are they reading this forum?

I think trimming is one of the most important functions when using the Casablanca.

Bogart SE 3 has not been released over here yet in NTSC land.

You can report stuff here for the benefit of other users, but I would not consider it a reliable way to get the info to MSUS and certainly not to MSDE (where it needs to be reported).

Hi Mykle,
even when it has been reported and been confirmed,
if I were in your place I would also report even in English.
The more reports the higher the chance of a fast fix of the issue
in next update.

Hi All

I just upgrated to Bogart 3.1 and had a play with it and it also didn't play the last 21 frames in the editing scene bin.
If you ar doing a lot of cutting to words bein spoken this is a real problem and I don't like it as I always play the scene
before adding it to the story board.
I will also report to Macro Systems in Germany for you all.
