You have the work backed up to an external hard drive, surely?

Regarding the problem, do you possibly have a CD/DVD in the burner drawer as that bug is pretty common.

Hold the keyboard Esc button (top left hand side of keyboard) down during the entire power up sequence and the drawer will eject the CD/DVD.

From there you will be able to do a proper power up and get back to work.

If that does not do it, have you moved the unit physically at all recently?

If the hard drive data cable is even slightly not seated fully you will get this.

Same with the Ram.

Ok I have tried everything, something weird is that sound when you turn the machine, the tickt that should sound, not doing it.

Another solution is Boulder? I do not like because I live outside the USA and costs a lot more (us 250) the shipping and customs costs
when the Sproo return to my country another us 265, this is disappointing..

Franklin,

I had a semilar problem with an S-4100. The problem was that a RAM stick had become dis-lodged therefore, that is why I was not getting any signal to any of the ports, and not hearing the beep at the first initaial start-up, this could be your problem.

I'd suggest that the "tickt" noise is the on/off switch activating a relay (or some such device) that allows the PSU to operate and start the machine.

If you press the power buttom whilst the machine is not connected to the mains you often hear this noise too.

However if you then press the button again, still with the machine disconnected, you'll hear nothing - as if the stored power for this operation has been disapated.

I couldn't confirm without seeing it but my best guess is the power supply - again

You did not actually answer my question about a CD/DVD in the drawer, nor confirm whether you tried the Esc procedure or anything else, Franklin.

What was the problem? Did your unit go into the DEFAULT analog which results in the user to hold down the right mouse button and press#2?

Franklin, are you saying now you MUST have a OS CD in the drawer to get a successful boot?

That I have never heard of, the bug I have experienced and problem solved with is when a CD/DVD is left in the machine when turned off causing a problem.

As long as no CD or DVD is left in the unit it has always powered up ok.

Others have had issues with the hard drive cable becoming unseated and the same with RAM, but those cases have always involved physical transport of the unit where it can experience bumps and motion inertia caused physical stress to cause the cable or RAM to become not fully seated.
