renommee to flash
Is it possible to dump my footage from the reno +, directly to a flash encoder? I can do it directly to a wmv, but haven't found a way to go directly to flash.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: renommee to flash
Hi Jeff,
Other than exporting back to tape and then into your PC/Mac for conversion the only other option that may help would be to use (buy) Disk Transfer http://macrosystem.us/index.php?pr=Disk_Transfer to produce an .AVI file that could then be read by your PC/Mac also and then converted to the format required ?

Re: renommee to flash
Michael,
Thanks for the thought. I do have disk transfer. If I am not mistaken, it only transfers from the pc to the reno, not the other way around.
The way I get my videos to flash now, is I firewire to my pc and create an avi file. I then can convert to flash. I was hoping to find a way to eliminate the avi step.

Hi Jeff,
Disk Transfer works both ways, Casa--->PC and PC--->Casa.
Use DT Type2 AVI-Files and you may transfer up to 20 minutes from Casa to PC.
burning a DT-DVD.
The only still bad about this method is stereo channels will be swapped Casa--->PC.
This has been reported many times to MS and has also been confirmed by MS.
This bug was not fixed and will have it's 4th anniversary this year.
Happy "ANIVERSARY" to MS...

Ok, I am not sure what you are saying. When I open disk transfer, I only get one option. That option is to pick "display contents". Then click "all" or "ok". There is no option that allows me to choose type 2 avi.

The AVI Type is chosen in Arabesk Settings Jeff.
Do this Prior to Add Scene or it doesn't count.

Ok, I see that setting. Now that I have switched it to type2, do i just proceed to burn the dvd like I would if it were set to type1? The only difference is that it writes it as an avi file?

Re: renommee to flash
Yes, but be clear Jeff, you need to have set it to Type 2 before you added the Scene, not just before you burn the DVD.
If you had already added the Scene, remove it and add it again, then yes, burn it to DVD.
That will make it a PC compatible AVI file when you put it in the PC DVD ROM.

Hi Jeff,
if you decide using this transfer method choose "DVD-RWs",
so you won't have any throwaways
