Hi Vincent,
when you did your update/fresh installation you have been
in 1 or 2 monitor mode?
You also see on VGA monitor some lines "modprobe" before
the actual installation routine is starting?
And after installation is finished, the red marked
"Installation cancelled" warning is on VGA screen?

Well,
2 monitors mode...but, strangely, the first time, everything went well (update).
Then I had to repeat the operation because I have 3 different HDDs...then the same problems as yours appeared (modprobe, red marked "Installation cancelled" on both VGA & DVI screens...
That was on my Renomee+ Ultra...
I'll test with my Solitaire+ Ultra tonight on one monitor mode (DVI).
Seeya!

Re: Bogart 3.2a in Pal
I did another update test in 1 monitor mode with overwriting.
Results: After update installation is finished the red marked
"Installation cancelled" again appears.
The installation progress bar will only reach the 96% mark,
not 100%.
It even looks like there is a tiny "jump back" after reaching
the 96% mark, before red marked window appears.
In the meantime 2 other users have confirmed my initial
observations.(modprobe & inst. cancelled)
First I thought the installation disk is maybe corrupted,
but a cross-check of data contents on update disk with 5 users
resulted in same data contents.

Let's see how your Solitaire+Ultra will react?

Re: Bogart 3.2a in Pal
Do you have a list of effects causing instability in the European model? We tend to have differences between NTSC and PAL.
Full install?
2-monitor or single DVI mode?
Is your SD situation of degradation a Downconvert issue?
How long is your clip before it goes out of sync?
Is this only when importing?
Are these same clips playing audio in sync from the scene bin?

Same problems as Hans here...both with update and fresh install....
I still not have tested everything, but...again system instability (intempestive system reboot during effects rendering...), and a few fixes...just half fixed...for ex. the direct import into Bogart function for SD files...it now works, but important image quality degradation during the import and the sound is not synchronized....
Cheers.

Hi Lou,
Well, I've not tested with all the effects, but it happened mainly with image processing effects (color/image correction, etc...), and also on the MediaManager side during the burning of a DVD...
I tried both, update & full destructive install.
Single & two monitors mode.
For SD import, no, it was simple, basic and regular import of SD MPEG2 clips, so no downconvert or anything special here...
The whole clip is out of sync, and yes it happens only when importing a SD clip directly into Bogart.
No these same clips are out of sync in the scene bin also...

Thanks. This is interesting because NTSC and PAL seem to always have differences. When we get the release, I will check it out.
