For an impromptu film session that was a nice piece of work. I’ve done the same many times, never had all the gear at the time I could really do with it.
Who is Paul? if I had a train set like that, I would never get any filming done at all.

If there is a ceiling, use it, and bounce the light. It will be even, no shadows and nothing should be too bright. Just a thought.
