Bogart 2.5 / 2.7e / 3.2e & Arabesk 4.6 /4.11conflict
This is mainly a Pal problem i think but with subject, versions with different combinations i have the same problem Arabesk freezes and force shut down is only way out,got the latest version 3.2e and 4.11 did a update same result
Started with a full install of Bogart 3.2e and Arabesk 4.6 no change but for some reason I then went in to Media Manager,Settings,1.Basic then in the window I selected System Information and it gave Software Version as 3.7e where it should have been 3.2e.
Then I remembered a post by Keith G who said on Bogart version 3.0a and Arabesk 4.6 he had no problems so did a full install of both and tried a quick test just 3 x 10 seconds colour samples and viola no problems in burning disc all windows showing. Will try a longer test later. Then went in to MM and checked and software version shown as 3.0a
One other thing I noticed in 3.2e the Settings display in Bogart remains as in V2 but in Bogart 3.0a you have the new menu system.
Can any Pal users running 2.5 up with problems or not do the check in Media Manager to see what version of o/s is shown my guess is no problems will show correct version and those with problems will show version 3.7e
Thanks for your time

Certainly is a PAL problem. You are getting Bogart 2 interface with Bogart 3?
I can confirm the different number in Media Manager and makes me wonder, since Media Manager is separate than the BOGART side, that the software number is different by virtue of having it's own operating system designation number.
Yes...4.6 works well.Probaby the best so far. However, the tray icon does not function within the ARABESK menu. One simply must exit ARABESK and manually eject the tray or use any softwares that have an icon related to the disc tray eject function. 4.6 also works well in HD with mixed codecs. Ex: MP4, mixed with AVCHD, mixed with .MOV etc.
HINT: ARABESK works best in 1440 mode. Less rendering time. I use this setting even for AVCHD. No loss of quality to my eye on a completed Blu-ray disc.
HINT#2: ARABESK 4.9-Use the GOOD mode instead of normal. Takes longer to RENDER. I find less problems in MY experience. Again, MY experience.
I did notice this same post in the Great Britain list-serve. For NTSC users, it is important to note that PAL and NTSC have different issues at times. The MS beta team tests software for a much longer period of time before release thus a longer waiting period than in PAL land.

Re: Bogart 2.5 / 2.7e / 3.2e & Arabesk 4.6 /4.11conflict
Hi Charles and Lou,
I updated(no new install) from 3.2c to 3.2e and Arabesk 4.11 some time ago.
No problems yet.
It shows the new Bogart3 main menu.
HD-1920-Project/Arabesk4.11 > AVCHD-DVDs are burned without problems,
no system crash, tray button works.
MM shows in settings 3.7e version (maybe MM has it's own version numbers
apart from Bogart ?, never have looked it up before)
Sorry, don't intend installing an older Bogart version since all works perfectly
just to see if MM version # is different.

Then why in version 3.0a does it show as 3.0a
Hi Lou
Guilty of similar post on UK list, thanks for your comments

Don't blame you for not wanting to muck around if everything is ok query the version number in MM with version 3.0a is as but version 3.2e shows as 3.7e I wonder why?

Hi Charles,
maybe coincidence that B3.0a matches with MM 3.0a?

Hi Charles,
the answer to question about MM3.7e
A German dealer is quite sure it is the "Realax Vision Version"
where the MM initially comes from.

Hans is 100% correct as was I. After checking, this is the software designation for Media Manager-AKA: RE(A)LAX VISION.
Charles...Please no need to be apologetic. I used your post to advise others (NTSC useres) that PAL is different than NTSC issues at times. I have received e-mails in the past with misinformation regarding NTSC, when in fact, it was only a PAL issue.
