buttons with motion on DVD menu
I am stumped. I am trying to use a moving video cube on top of my DVD menu background.I made the cube and saved it as a scene and selected it as a button (I have a single film DVD.) I would like the cube to spin or be in motion (the same way it would be in motion on the storyboard except this time it would be an onject (button) when the DVD menu is showing. The video cube I created, stays static and does not move . What am I doing wrong ? Oh! By the way I am using Bogart on an S2000. Thanks for your time...... Tammerah Robertson

Re: buttons with motion on DVD menu
I believe there are two spots to click on there that will determine if an object is static or if it moves when setting up a menu. Click on "Background" and then "Mode" Then choose "Still" or "Animate" On Arabesk 4 there is a second box to the right called "audio" You can select to have your menu as a still or an Animated moving scene. In earlier versions of Arabesk there wasn't an "audio" box, you had to select animate to get the audio to play. Clicking on the animate box, would also allow music to play during the time that the menu is on the screen, in the older versions of Arabesk.
Hope this helps,

Re: buttons with motion on DVD menu
Jim, I was trying to get the full motion video cube to be in motion on my DVD background and figured out how to do it with PIP studio. Thank you for the help though

Hi Tammy,
Yes, PIP Studio will allow you to have the entire background in motion and then use this as the background for the Arabesk Menu. It'll allow you to have as many moving scenes as you want in your background. It's fun to have several moving images using soft edges.....so they seem to flow into each other smoothly as a moving background. You can then plant your buttons where ever you like.
If not using this technique however, and if you are relying on the Arabesk software to allow motion you do need to set the control to "Animate" With PIP studio you can really set up some interesting and creative menus, with as much motion as you like.
Happy editing,
