What purpose does the "scene" button serve as an option in the storyboard menu? How is this feature put to use, as for execution, and purpose? The explanation given on the MSUS videos doesn't clarify it well enough for me.Thanks!

Re: haven't gotten a handle on this yet
Jim,
The 'Scene' button is (arguably) the most powerful button in the Casablanca Menus -- it allows/facilitates multi-scene layering, with the ability to add effect on top of effect. You will find this button in the 3 effects menus: Transitions, Titles & Image Processing.
This topic was one of three that were presented in my very first Casablanca Expert Webinar in January 2009. But the video is no longer available with the change-over in Motionbox. I would invite you to download the 4-page PDF document that contains the notes from that session: http://www.casablancaexpert.com/downloa ... 0/download (please see bottom of page 2 and all of page 3 for details on the Scene button).
Hope that helps!
Regards,
Chet

Are you going to re-publish it somewhere else, like Vimeo? Or just bring a disk copy to Dallas, and I'll pay for it there.

Hello Jim,
The function/s of the Scene Button is covered clearly in my Casablanca Foolproof Volume 1 DVD Tutorial - see Disk 2, Film 1, Chapter 12.
I will pull that section off and make it available for website members as a streaming video. Others can review this on the DVD itself, a 3-disk tutorial (the most comprehensive tutorial DVD ever produced for/about the Casablanca digital video editor). This video training resource is available from your Casablanca reseller, or from
MSUS and Dalco UK distributors.
You can also read more about it & order it in my online store here: http://www.casablancaexpert.com/store/products/11 .

Birdy hits it so many times in his "Tips & Tricks" #2, that you almost get the hang of it watching him.
