Can be a Casablanca harddisk cloned?

Post by tbote »

Hi

I want update a S4100 but after that I want to make a full backup, or better, clone the disk and try to install the upgrades on the cloned harddrive just to check if some issues are solved and if not, just put the old disk with no changes.

Can I clone the drive with a PC with Ghost, TrueImage or any software like that?

Regards

You could use Bogart HD Back-up to 'save' the projects only (not the system) and then install the new Bogart.

If you don't find it an improvement you can re-install a previous version of Bogart and then restore your projects completely - i.e. scene bin, story board, music, titles . . .

I'm afraid I have no idea about these options but somehow I doubt if they'd work.

Hi,

Yes you can clone a Casablanca HDD.. it works with both SmartEdit and Bogart.

I did that type of manipulations several times using tools like Ghost or Clonezilla.

Cheers.
