Code free DVD's

Post by charlietravels »

I want to send a copy of one of my DVD's to a friend in Australia. Are the DVD's we burn in our Casablanca machines limited to code 1area viewing? If so, how can I make a code free DVD, or will they need a code free player?

Coded DVDs are a Hollywood thing, our editors do not encode any codes on the DVDs.

US created ones will be in the NTSC format and Australia uses the PAL format, but that said, their players/monitors tend to have built in capability for playing NTSC as well as PAL.

I have sent several NTSC DVDs over to Australia without any reported playback problems from those who purchased from me.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Thanks for the information. I am going to send out 6 to some Australians who were on a European River Cruise with us, so I will know for sure in a week or so.
