AVCHD imported via MTS to S4KPro and burned to Arabesk looks sub-standard on DVD (very short 2-minute test project).
Is it SD or HD? The burned project way looks way inferior than what can be viewed on the monitor (storyboard and scene bin).
The image doesn't measure 16:9 nor its 4:3 either.
Just need thoughts and ideas about what is going on.
Thx!

Re: Is It or Isn't It?
Depends on whether you set Arabesk for SD DVD or as a AVCHD DVD.
By your description you have it at the default SD DVD.
Currently, high def footage (HDV or AVCHD) internally downconverted (this happens in "Add film" in Arabesk when set to the default SD DVD settings) sucks as you have noticed.
It has been reported for a long, long time now (well over a year) and Eric Kloor stated on October 21, 2010 that it would be improved in a free upgrade, but with no time window mentioned.
If you are after a AVCHD DVD version you are in luck as that just takes an internal menu setting in Arabesk to get and gives a great result (up to a twenty minute approximate capacity on a standard DVD).
If you are after SD DVD results from high def going out to cam and then re-inputting letting the cam live downconvert to SD (rather than having the system do it internally) and then burning a SD DVD gets good results as an admittedly tiresome time intensive work around until MSUS fixes this issue.

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.
