When I input by firewire connect from my Sony HD camcorder to Bogart S-2000 , in the video Recording mode, it does not recognize my camcorder. It says:
Import material from CD/DVD/BD only and won't give me an alternate.
My project setting is set to HDV and I’ve tried the cable connect from front
and from back.
Where do I go to correct this?

Re: getting Bogart to recognize my camcorder
Most errors occur when the PROJECT setting does not match the actual output material from the SONY cameras. I assume you have a HDV camera because it is tape? HC series? Z-5? HVR1000? FX10000?
.Go into your menu and make sure you do not have the menu set to DOWNCONVERT (SD) but have your PROJECT set to HD
.OR....vice versa HD material to a SD project not using the DOWNCONVERT function in the camera menu..
Another very, very, common problem is changing the menu for importation while a SONY camera is attached to the unit via firewire. To make changes to the menu, shut everything down to play it safe. Unattach the firewire and then change the play menu for importation on the camera. Then, attach the firewire and power-up the unit.
If this is NOT the problem, I will advise you how your menu should look in your camera. Just advise me if you want HDV or SD downconverted.

Do you get "HD" next to the record button and have you tried just clicking this red button ?
I'm presuming that your camera is a tape one - hence you're using Firewire.
The CD/DVD/BD would normally have a drop down 'if' you were using a USB reader or USB connector from your camera.
