Good Morning
I put in one of my other hard drives and screen is gray.
using only 1 sled at time.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Had you used that hard drive/sled prior with success and haven't taken it apart in between?
Does the other hard drive/sled work if you put it back in?
You are using the same top position when swapping sleds?

Then I'd say your hard drive in the problem sled is dead or dying. 
You could try jogging it by inserting an old OS Smart Card if you have one and say No to all questions and see if it comes back up after the automatic reset, but even if it does the drive is suspect and I wouldn't trust it with anything critical.
