lighting
shooting weddings with a Canon A1s. As all you event video guys out there know that weddings are usually considered kinda low light venues. What is everyone using for lighting? right now I use the NRG i light with a 20w med flood and it works fine but am tired of lugging around the external battery. Any experience out there with LED's?

Re: lighting
I utilize and recommend the Litepanel Micro Pro depending what your budget allows. They are kind of expensive. They can operate on 6 AA batt. or AC. Also, included are soft diffusion filters, and 3200K filter.

Re: lighting
Actually the best I tested during my lighting lecture was the ZYLight. Very, very, expensive but one can "dial in" the actual color temp. needed and the "throw" is magnificent. If I was in business again, this is the perfect light albiet big bucks.

Re: lighting
Lou.. that ZY is totally phenomenal, and is definately the answer to any lighting solution, but I just cant justify putting a light that costs half the price of the camera to shoot weddings. I researched the Torch light that you suggested and that looks very impresive, even the testing was right on for what I need, and the cost wasn't too crippling. Thanks man, you got a lot of good advice. Pat

Re: lighting
When you purchase same, I have a little secret in using the LED light....led lights in general which tend to lean towards BLUE.

Re: lighting
Search om E-Bay Led camera lights and you find products simular as the lite panels only for a fifth of the cost.
They even run on old or new camera batteries and one camera battery runs for over one hour no need to buy batteries.
No need for a battery pack it fits in the unit it self and very light aswell.
On some you can adjust the light strength with a dial just like the more expensive ones.
They even come with colour filters. I have never had mine on full strenght as they are just to powerfull.
