Can't "create" simple title slides. Help!

Can't "create" simple title slides. Help!
Although I've done this before, I must have forgotten a step. I select NEW etc., select SPECIAL, scroll to SPLIT X and select a mask, select OK (see the mask materialize) and see it added to my scene bin. Then select ADD and see the masked slide move to my STORY BOARD. Then, I click on TITLING and generate my text. This is the point where things get cloudy. I can't preview and I can't create. When I go to FINISH, I can't "create" there either. Help!

Please disregard the inquiry below. I figured it out. Forgot to click on "add." Its been a long time.
