Blank then black then blank monitor screen at startup s2000

Our S2000 doesn't seem to be working. We used it yesterday to edit some footage, (worked fine) I think a student set something different (On the output to monitor?) while working and the screen went blank. Now when we start it, it goes through boot up and then the monitor goes from a blank blue screen to a black screen as if the menu would show up next, then it goes back to blue(no signal). Any ideas?.
