HD Input Settings

Let us know. It is important if it is a PCM problem. That was my first thought when I replied on the listserve. This will be interesting if it is the problem. Perhaps this is not an issue in BOGART 4 or at least can be reported if continued.

Changed the audio to dolby and ran a short record. The audio now seems to work. The default of Linear PCM does not sem to work on the 4k.

I have 2 video jobs this weekend. I will use the new camera and see how all works out. These are jobs that are on the cuff (for free) and will not require much editing. If there is a problem I can load the files into imovie.

I will keep you posted when I edit for dvd production (I will look for the audio sync problem).

Of course the mac works because its a mac. This is just one of many problems that provokes me to stay with HDV. Call Macro and see how fast they respond (that is they dont charge for an answer)

Loaded first hd project. It ended up being 160 min long. I have had it in finish mode and its been 6 hours. I would like to send it out hd but I think its too long. How do I send it out sd?

6:00 AM and at 70% regen. The 160 min hd file, but it's still working. I loaded the second hd video on the Mac (1hr and 20 min length) it loaded ok and 2 hrs to make a movie with imovie. I still have to burn the dvd yet. I will load the same hd file onto the 4000 and compare the time and quality.
HD files take much longer than I expected to load and regen.

THe 160 min hd project finished regen at 9:00pm and I started to burn the dvd. It's 6:00am and it is still working on the dvd regen. The unit is working. The mac finished the 1hr and 20min movie in 2 hours and was finished with the dvd this morning when I got up. I think because the first project is so long it is taking a lot longer.

HD 160min project failed. I have split the project in half and am doing a retry. I have loaded the same project on the Mac, but I have limited disk space. Thats what happens when you have a machine that does everything. I will work on freeeing up disk space this weekend. I have video jobs the next two nights.

It seems as if splitting the project may have worked. It ran all night and the screen said sucessfully verified. It takes a long time for hd video to complete the cycle to a dvd.
