Good Morning All
I'm thinking about purchasing the s3000.
Can the cameras with a hard drive or flash or sd card be used with the new units instead of mini dv tape?
Can anyone recommend a good but inexpensive HD video camera?
Do you import pictures in the new units the same way as on a Solitaire?
Thanks
GREGB

Re: s3000
All the new GEN 3 units read flash media....depending on the format of course. The Gen 3 units will recognize all the current flash cameras including .MXF file @ 50Mps.
In regards to a camera: What price range are you looking for?

Re: s3000
Check out the Canon "M" series. Outstanding lens. Many in your price range. I also own a SONY CX model, but it doesn't hold up as good as the Canon series.
I have shown this before, but this was done with a camera in or slightly above your price range:

Go the the lower right corner of the You Tube display and engage the HD setting....let it load first.
