importing scenes

I am using V4 on the S4100. When I try to import one scene from a project into another project using the clipboard I keep getting a "Dv to Dv" conversion sign. I am using SD video and it's brought in tthrough the Svhs imputs. V3 never had a problem like this and impoting from one project to another was straight forward and instant. Is this a step backwards in V4 or is there some other answer.Thank you.

A TOTAL PAIN!!! I've got exactly the same problem...all my amims are stored in one project ready to just transfer from project to project via the clipboard but now I get this stupid "DV to DV" conversion crap...what's the hecks going on, get it fixed pronto Macrosystems???

Your version four is doing what it has to do. When you clip board between projects and the two are the same there will be no conversion. However if one is set to 4X3 and the other to 16X9 the clipboard will automatically make the change that you have created by using two different formats.

If one is set to a different resolution than the other, the clipboard will make the changes. There are many different things that will cause this DV to DV conversion and they are all within your control. It just takes getting used to checking everything first before you try to move things between projects.

My projects do have all the same settings and I'm not doing anything different from what I've been doing FOR YEARS!!!! Therefor, since upgrading to Bogart 4.1E I've had these "conversion" issues so I recon it's all down the Bogart!

I just tried clipboarding scenes from SD-16:9-Project to another SD-16:9-Project to see
if I would confirm your observation.
But all works fine as always.
There is no "DV to DV" conversion sign appearing.
Maybe a NTSC-Bogart-Problem?

I am using Bogart 3.6c however, the principle should be the same. If you have lets say a 1920 X 1080i clip and you wish to clipboard it to another 1920 X 1080i project and the format and codec are exactly the same, then it should be instant however, if you for example have a 1440 X 1080i clip and you wish to clipboard to a 1920 X 1080i project then there has to be an upscaling to match the format and therefore, will say " converting HDV to HDV". Unless there is some sort of difference in Bogart 4, this function should work exactly the same as previous Bogart versions.
