Sorry, I meant DVD. Now everything works except RCA and S-Video inputs/outputs. No signal to RCA/composite monitor, and no sign of anything on record when the camera is plugged in to the composite inputs.
Sound like a video card?

Assuming you are analog, did you MANUALLY PRESS PLAY on your camera/deck and then CLICK?PRESS the RECORD button on the BOGART side?

Firewire will comminicate directly and USB will be recognized.

Yes, but the unit didn't get a signal like we use to. If we plugged the camera in and turned it on, we could see the camera menu and any scene we needed. Now there's nothing "no signal".
The unit's out of warranty, so we're going to open the case check the video card connections.

Is the Project set to SD (as opposed to HD) and then what is it set to in Video Settings :?:

Jeff - the first things I would advise is to check that you have your Project Settings and your Video Settings adjusted so they match your incoming device. That is the problem so often.

Regarding output (and you may know this, but covering all possible scenarios here) when you are set-up to monitor out to a digital display (DVI or HDMI) you will not have access to the analog video ports.

I have learned you would have to switch to single video monitor mode (or dual monitor mode, with video as your monitor 2) and then you could export via either S-Video or RCA/ Phono video output jacks.

Hope that helps!

Chet

That is the current problem. With the monitor hooked up to the composite (yellow) video out, and the camcorder hooked the (Yellow) composite RCA in, we can't see it, we can't see it in the menu, we can't get at it anywhere. Never used to be a problem. Just happened 2 weeks ago and now the machine is completely wonkie!

we can't chose video settings in the project and video settings because they just aren't there.

This is determined by your selection of your monitor settings - go into your System Settings menu and my guess is that you have your monitor option set to DVI or HDMI. You need to go to either Single monitor video output or dual monitor with 1 on video to enable export to analog video.

If this does not help I believe it's time to contact Tech Support.

An Update. We left it unplugged overnight (a while back) and then I rapped the side of the unit with my palm thinking loose connection or hard drive problem. Plugged it in and now everything miraculously works! I'm disappointed in the durability of this unit.

You have a loose Video input then that needs a solder joint. I bet you have no audio either.
