I am trying to install (not upgrade) Bogart 4.1c on my S-2000. Performing step 6 in the Release Notes Installation Instructions results in a message in the small display on the front of the S-2000 which reads; DISPLAY : HDMI. I have dual monitors and both are ViewSonic. The "viewing" monitor is a N1630w LCD TV connected to the S-2000 composite video output. The "editing" monitor is a VG730m LCD Display connected from its D-SUB connector to the S-2000 DVI-I connector. The AC power to the "viewing" monitor is manually controlled and the "editing" monitor is controlled by the S-2000. When the DISPLAY : HDML message appears, the "viewing" monitor has a faint "background" glow indicating that it is connected to some video source, but the "editing" monitor doesn't turn on. The first time this happened, I reinstalled the Bogart 2.4c, restored the backup to the hard drive and the S-2000 performed normally. Then I retried to install 4.1c and had the same results. What do I need to do now? I haven't found any information about this problem.
Thanks in advance for your help. The previous help about HD backup worked like a champ.

I believe S2000 defaults back to factory setting HDMI after install. Does your monitor not have HDMI? You can change the monitor setting using the trackball. Hold down the right button for 10 secs, then you can cycle through the outputs by clicking the left button.

In NTSC the default is DVI. I would try Martyn's suggestion as somehow the monitor may have swithced to another setting. However, you should be able to observe that setting in the LCD display. Now, if it is displaying just a white screen-glow, place your OS disc back into the unit and do an UPDATE. This update will advise you of a setting. Choose DVI and NOT scart etc. This should work fine.

Re: Install Bogart 4.1c "Display : HDMI" question
Martyn and Lou Bruno,
Thanks for your timely advice. Bogart 4.1c is up and running on my S-2000, and both monitors, as originally configured. After a brief look it appears that I am on the road to better and faster editing. However, the dark side of this is: I would have never figured out the 10 seconds of holding the right trackball button to allow communication changes between the S-2000 and the monitors. MacroSystem has done it again in hiding something I need to know in a place that I could not find.
Thanks again - you people have saved me untold hours of weeping, wailing and nashing of teeth.

We recently discovered this works in SE9 on the Series II machines too, so DO NOT GO TO SLEEP LEANING ON THE TRACKBALL WHILST EDITING. You might wake up to find no display.
