When I go to turn off my Renommee Plus using the OFF button on the main screen, it sounds like it's turning off, but it doesn't. Also, the yellow light stays on. The external OFF button doesn't function at all to turn it off. It only works to turn the machine on.
I have to unplug the power cord to swich off, which I shouldn't have to do.

I have started having the same problem on 2 Renommee Plus units since upgrading to the latest Arabesk. The Reno + will fade to about half brightness and no other inputs will do anything including the mouse. Do not pull the plug. Hold the power button for about 30 seconds to force a power down. Are you having this problem all the time or only after burning a DVD?

I have held the the power button for over 30 secs, and nothing happens, so my only options are to either leave it on overnight or pull the plug, which I realize is not ideal, but what else can I do ?

I had this problem a while back with OS 5.1 and when I updated to 5.2 the problem went away. I am now on OS 9.1 and have not had any problem since. Maybe reinstall your OS or update it.

I may give that a try.
Unfortunately I can't do a destructive reinstall right now because I would lose all my projects.
