Does somebody wanna explain?

Post by videojim »

I got my bonus effects activated when I registered my machine. I was told that cinemascope was part of that package. So, with Bonus effects activated, why is the cinemascope filter hidden, waiting for a code?

The 'added' benefits of Bonus Effects indeed are;

Color Wipe 1
Color Wipe 2
Pusher
Smooth Color Wipe
Smooth Wipe
Split Screen
Wipe
Aquarium
Cinemascope
Stars (new scene)

However it looks as if there "might" be two versions/options as the true Cinemascope program that gives you 21:9 is a purchasable option - http://www.macrosystem.us/index.php?pr=Cinemascope and therefore requires a code.

So, it is a matter of trial and error how to access the one that comes with BonusEffects? Will try that, and see what I find out.

FOUND IT! In the special menu go to the bottom, and change the list from all to bonus effects. It'll be there!

Of course the term Cinemascope, as used by Macrosystem, is not actually giving you a wider picture, like true Cinemascope does.
You're not seeing a wider angle of view than what you already have. You're just masking the top and bottom of the frame to give you the ILLUSION of Cinemasope.
A better term would be Variable Aspect Ratio.
For true Cinemasope, you would have to mount an anamorphic "squeeze" lens like the Panasonic AG-7200, over your camcorder lens, and in your Cassie you would "unsqueeze" the picture using the Anamorphic 16:9 setting.

I think the new Cinemascope that is an extra cost software for Bogart only is a true converter software, but for 21:9 versus the standard 16:9 widescreen.

There is also Cine-converter that can convert in either direction which is a true proportion converter although I never was satisfied with the quality of anything I converted using it.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.
