WATERMARKING is very popular today in newscasting etc. CANDY FACTORY can be used to watermark your video and it works very well. Ever notice "ACTION NEWS" or "EYEWITNESS NEWS" in the lower right of the screen....yes.....CNN as well. We can do the same with our editing systems provided you have CANDY FACTORY. This works because of the alpha channeling and is much better than PIP for a logo as well.
Assuming you know how to work with CANDY FACTORY, this function is very easy.
.LIVE SCENE for 5 seconds
.Black scene 5 seconds. Go to title page
.TITLE>ADD PAGE>open same>choose a thick style letter>KEEGAN is ok.
.Black scene must have white lettering. Make the title box small and write the words "ACTION then NEWS underneath
.MOVE the box with the lettering to the lower right of the screen and shrink the title box the smallest as possible
.Now RENDER in the title area and make a SCENE>you will now observe an all black 5 second clip with small lettering in the right corner.
LOCATE YOUR STORYBOARD: Your LIVE scene should be located to the left of the title page scene you madeas it is a background.
.OPEN CANDY FACTORY>BACKGROUND SCENE
.ACTUALLY the default setting looks good but go ahead and play with the different archives or menus. PLASTIC RED is pretty cool.
Justin has an excellent manual sold by MSUS and DEALERS that dwells into the use of CANDY FACTORY.
