PS 3 can not READ MTS files which is common to the flash/card video cameras using AVCHD.
In the event you want to place an MTS file into PS3 simply place the finished MTS file from the "S"4K PRO on your PC and enter that file in WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER. This tranfer is accomplished in the PROJECT area of your HDV project. Use a Flash Drive if the project is small or even a regular DVD which can hold a 20 minute or a 4o minute project if it is a dual layer.
NOW:
.Drag the file into the Movie Maker time line and then go to the FINISH window and choose COMPUTER. Simply assign WMV as your file extension and place the WMV file on your Flash Drive or make a DATA DISC.
.Place in PS3 and make sure you have your PS3 set to WMV ENABLED.
That's it. You converted your MTS to a readable WMV which appears to have very little loss.
However....MPEG 2 is the cleanest with least rendering.
