I need to rotate an image 90 degrees counterclockwise. How is this done? Thanks.

Re: rotation of image
I don't know if the Bogart OS includes any controls over rotation. Images can be rotated using the effects in Effects pack 7 and Effects pack 8. I'm not sure how they differ besides Rotate 2 in Effects pack 8 allowing you fine adjustment in increments of 1/10 of a degree. Effects pack 8 also has Cine Convertor which may come in handy at some point.

Re: rotation of image
Bogart doesn't have any default ability to do this, but as Craig mentioned it can be done if you have the Effects Pack with the IP Effect Rotate.
That said, it will significantly degrade the video to do this a full 90 degrees.

Re: rotation of image
Don't jump all over me for being redundant but this is another reason why I wish we had CB PAINT 2. I was able to rotate clips at any point in a 360 degree rotation w/o any degradation at all.

Re: rotation of image
I had all the pics on a flash stick, anyway, so I threw out the project, took the stick and put in my laptop and straightened and brightened, etc with a paint program. I think that is the way to go with stills. Clean em up with a paint program BEFORE they go in the Cassie, because picture primping options are not NEAR as good in the editor as they are in PS or whatever you work on pictures with in a PC.

Re: rotation of image
There is also another method to rotate pictures.
.Import your .JPEG into Photo Studio as usual to the EDIT bin
.OPEN COLLAGE and make a color background of your choice. I like GREEN for keying later but BLACK will work as well.
.IMPORT your .jpeg to the COLLAGE BIN and STRETCH it out as large as it will display by simply dragging the picture with your mouse using the line edges.
.NOW...OPEN the "EDIT BOX" and rotate the picture to any degree of slant.
.Hit "OK" then "HIT" CREATE-adjust duration of clip as well.
.The still clip will now be in your project scene bin and you can key a moving background to the GREEN area or just keep the background BLACK.
Try it.

Re: rotation of image
Sorry Jim - I thought you were asking about a video clip (scene). Photo Studio 2 has a very easy to use Rotate function. It enables you to rotate a photo 90, 180, 270-degrees. You simply click on 'Edit' (in PS2), select the photo and click on 'Rotate'. You are presented with the clear visual options for selecting from the 3 rotational choices. Click on the appropriate choice and your photo has been rotated.
Now granted - you do not have anywhere near the photo editing functions and options in our Casablanca that you do using Photosop, PS Elements, Irfanview, etc. but there are some things like this simple rotate or crop that are quite easily and successfully done in Photo Studio 2.
Regards,
Chet

Re: rotation of image
Yep, I thought the same thing Chet, my first response was strictly in regards to video.
Photo Studio can do the basic manipulations of photos as long as the resolution is adequate.
That said, PS can't hold a candle in power to many PC software choices and is outright primitive and klutzy in it's interface compared to PC software choices.
As photo work is easily brought into a PC (and many times has to be as you cannot use a scanner to input photos to the Cassie even in this day and age) and does not require the power or complexity that doing so with video requires photos lend themselves to working with them in a PC prior to bringing them into the Cassie platform.
To the point that if the job was pure photo manipulation (as in clean up and Ken Burns stuff) I stopped even bothering with bringing it into the Cassie and just burned the DVDs, etc using Pro Show.
