disk transfer for import

Post by videojim »

This program used to be in the new menu, but I don't see it there anymore. Where'd they move it to, in the s6000, with b5.3?

Found out that the project settings HAVE to be set on SD, because disk transfer won't work in HD. Hmmmmmmm! This mean you can't make HD avi's?

Sure you can export HD-videos in AVI format.
Make a scene of your HD storyboard.
Scene in scene bin is exported if you hit "opt".
Then choose export actual scene.
Scene will then be exported to harddisk or USB Flash drive in AVI format.

As Hans pointed out - the easiest method for exporting an AVI file in the Bogart system is the OPT button in the Edit Screen.
This became available with Bogart V4 (keep in mind those on Bogart V5 that at present this has a limitation of up to 11-minutes)
More commonly I use the Archives>Media Manager export to get it over to my computer for integration in other applications or to upload to a website. There are several options in the Media Manager for exporting an AVI file (if that's specifically what you need) or one of many other formats/codecs.

What are you wanting or needing this file for? In other words - what is your intention once this file is exported?

So, HD video can be moved out in uncompressed form. The technique does NOT involve disk transfer then. Was just wanting to clarify.
