Tip #1: Casablanca Expert Chet Davis shows how he acquires free fonts on the internet and then imports & uses them in the Casablanca Titler to add foreign language to titles and even symbols to create snappier title scenes!
This lesson is possible on both Smart Edit & Bogart OS.

Re: 12 Tips for Christmas 2012-2013
Tip #2 is up and ready for your learning... today I show how to use a keyboard shortcut to move (copy) scenes from the Scene Bin into the Clipboard & how to open the Clipboard with a keyboard shortcut - this allows much speedier actions if you've got a lot of scenes to move using the Clipboard.
NOTE this is possible on both Smart Edit & Bogart OS. You can access this 4-minute video from the 12 Tips Index Page here: http://cassieexpert.live.subhub.com/articles/12Tips2012
Regards,
Chet

Thanks Chet for the Christmas 2012 tips. I don't want to push it but can't wait for 2013. Outstanding and informative. It pays to be a member of the Cassie Expert.

Let me second Lou’s comment, it is certainly well worth being a member of Chet’s web site. There are now so many options, having the time to research all the possibilities and meet that editing deadline is almost impossible.
Even for those like me that do read the manuals from cover to cover (I know I’m a sad person) there are still things I miss. The clipboard keyboard short cut for instance, Christmas tip 2, is one that I had not picked up. This alone is such a time saver.
Thanks Chet, keep up the good work.

You are most welcome Ian! I agree - there is SO much functionality it today's Casablanca editors, much can go hidden or undiscovered.IanPearson wrote:Thanks Chet, keep up the good work.

That's why I'm here! I love that tip as well Ian... I have found myself using it a bunch since I produced that video also!
I really like the title effect created in Tip #11 (loaded just today) and I think folks will enjoy the Tilt-Shift effect in Tip #12 which is showing tomorrow.

Chet
